I went to Uni because I thought the world of education was something I was familiar with and was too scared to do what you did and get a job (which I think you were very brave to do by the way). Now it turns out I can't even do education; I read all my notes and they mean nothing to me.
If it makes you feel any better, I actually quit my job. Last day is Wednesday, so now I'm jobless and live with my parents. A typical Hounslow teen :).
